Our simple house blessing

We finally had a simple house blessing last Sunday afternoon, June 3rd. The guests were mostly Conne’s relatives.

It was a really tiring day since we spent the previous day and the entire morning fixing and cleaning the place up plus preparing food – Although I didn’t mind the work at all since I was able to sneak in a few bites every now and then. 🙂

We fetched the priest at around 5:00 PM and the blessing rites began shortly thereafter. The ceremony was simple – some of us carried lighted candles, there were a few verse readings and short prayers invoked, and holy water was sprinkled by the priest on every nook and cranny of the house.

We would like to thank all of those who pitched in for the preparations. It was a real success. 🙂
